Through Many Fires, my latest novel now available in both paperback and on Kindle!

In my latest novel, terrorists smuggle a nuclear bomb into Washington D.C. and detonate it during the State of the Union Address.  Army veteran and congressional staffer Caden Westmore is in nearby Bethesda and watches as a mushroom cloud grows over the capital.  The next day, as he drives away from the still burning city, he learns that another city has been destroyed and then another.  America is under siege.  Panic ensues and society starts to unravel.

Titan Paperback

Titan Encounter came out in paperback today.

The sun was shining and all seemed right with the world this morning when I received word that the paperback version of Titan Encounter was out on Amazon.  Thank you to everyone who bought the Kindle version and especially those of you who reviewed it.

Kyle Pratt with the first paperback copies of Titan Encounter

I had written several short stories and a novella earlier, but Titan Encounter was my first venture into full length novels.  To get the story out on Kindle involved a huge amount of work; editing, graphic design and formatting.  For the paperback edition we had to do that all over again.

However, it was worth the effort.  By the end of the year Titan Encounter should be available in Barnes & Noble and other bookstores.

Now that Titan is done I still can’t rest, my next book, Through Many Fires is scheduled for release in just 23 days.

The Proof Is In

I have published two books on Kindle—soon to be three, but today was the first time I have been able to actually touch one of them.

Kyle Pratt with the paperback version of Titan Encounter

This afternoon, I received the proof copy of Titan Encounter from Createspace, the publisher. Kindle publishing is great, but I’ve got to say, it felt good to have the physical book in my hands.

The book I received is an actual copy of what the novel will be like as currently formatted.  It will probably take about five days to look over the format of the book with family and a few fellow authors.  After that I’ll either make corrections or give final approval for publishing.

Either way, Titan Encounter will soon be available in paperback.
