Release on Monday

Through Many Fires, originally scheduled for release on August 1st will now be available on Monday.

In my latest novel,  terrorists smuggle a nuclear bomb into Washington D.C. and detonate it during the State of the Union Address.  Army veteran and congressional staffer Caden Westmore is in nearby Bethesda and watches as a mushroom cloud grows over the capital.

The next day, as he drives away from the still burning city, he learns that another city has been destroyed and then another.  America is under siege.  Panic ensues and society starts to unravel.

Early this year we planned an August 1st release date.  We started working on the cover art in March and had the front and back done by the end of June, but the spine couldn't be completed until I finished the novel because the width is based on the final page count.

I planned for Through Many Fires to be about 65,000 words and 27 chapters.  In the end, the book was just over 71,000 words and 29 chapters.  I finished my final draft close to midnight, Friday, July 26th and emailed it all to the editor and let the graphic designer know the book was 268 pages.  They got there work done several days ago, but it still takes time to get the book online and ready to sell.  I just couldn't get it all done by August 1st.

The good news is the paperback version is on schedule for release on Monday, August 5th. The Kindle version should be ready the next day.  Through Many Fires should be available at Barnes & Noble, and on Smashwords, Kobo later this year.
