Oregon Christian Writers One-Day Conference

I’ll be both attending and speaking at the one-day Oregon Christian Writers conference at the Chemeketa Community College in Salem. My hour long talk is scheduled for the afternoon and will be on how-to find and participate in critique groups. It’s actually not so easy. You’re looking for people who are better writers than you and are willing to help you hone your writing craft.

Lewis County Writers Guild

On this day I’ll be speaking with members and guests of the Lewis County Writers Guild about the differences between a self-publishing and indie publishing. Is it all just vanity? Perhaps, but I’ve titled the talk, How to achieve worldwide sales on a budget.

Oregon Christian Writers Summer Conference

August 12 thru August 15, 2019

In August I’ll be attending the Oregon Christian Writers Conference at the Red Lion Hotel on Jantzen Beach in Portland. The Christmas in Time anthology is up for a Cascade Award along with six of my friends and fellow writers. Also my book The Storm Rises is up for the Cascade Award in speculative fiction.

As I have for a number of years I’ll be there meeting old friends, making new ones, and hopefully learning many new things at the OCW Conference. If you’re there come up and say hello. I’d love to meet you.

Southwest Washington Writers Conference

September 7, 2019

On September 7th I’ll be attending my local conference, the Southwest Washington Writers Conference. This one-day event is held in the nearby town of Centralia and I attend every year.

I’ve taught at the conference several times, and I’m on the governing board. I don’t know if I’ll be speaking this year, but I’ll be there and attend a few workshops, meeting friends and hopefully making new ones. If you’re there come up and say hello.
